Solar installation for self consumption in ZUNIBAL

[wpse_leading] We are happy to announce the recent photovoltaic solar installation for self-consumption that we have made on the roof of ZUNIBAL. [/ wpse_leading]

The installation has been executed by the LANSOLAR engineering and has a power of 37 kilowatts peak (kWp). It consists of 112 solar panels of 330 watts each, an inverter of 36 kW and occupies about 220 square meters on the decks of the Derio ship.

This system of self-consumption is an installation without spillage to the electricity network, which means that 100% of the energy generated will be consumed within the company. According to the first results obtained, we have verified that on sunny days we can save up to 25% of the energy consumed in the company on a working day with the machinery and instrumentation at full capacity.

According to project data, the installation will be able to generate approximately 42,000 kilowatts/hour per year, which means avoiding an annual emission of 20 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, equivalent to the consumption of 8.4 tons of oil.

We work continuously to reduce our environmental footprint, reducing, among other aspects, energy consumption and waste, in addition to actively collaborating in the reuse and correct recycling when the product reaches its end of life. The result of this is the maintenance of environmental certifications during the last 6 years under the ISO 14001 standards of Environmental Management and ISO 14006 of Ecodesign.
