[wpse_leading]We are the first company in the sector to offer our clients satellite buoys for tuna fishing which have been eco-designed in order to reduce their environmental impact. An important advance, fruit of constant efforts in the search for new materials and focuses to anticipate the needs of increasingly more demanding needs in environmental aspects. This work was rewarded in October, when we successfully passed the external audit for certification based on the requirements of the UNE-EN ISO14006:2011 standards on Eco-design.[/wpse_leading]

We have introduced Eco-design as a management system, thus establishing an environmental improvement strategy for the designing and development of equipment throughout its life cycle. This means that we are developing our equipment taking into account the most significant environmental aspects in all the phases associated with the life cycle of the products, from the extraction of materials to the end of the life of the equipment as waste. Thus, we determine that aspects of our equipment cannot have a significant environmental impact.
This eco-innovating approach offers us three advantages that we bring to our products and our approach to work:

  • We minimise the environmental impact of our products.
  • We anticipate the increasingly demanding legal requirements in terms of the environment.
  • We seek out new focuses to implement new technologies and materials that improve the environmental characteristics of the product and its process.

The Eco-design certification is added to the ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environment certificates that we possess, and demonstrates our commitment to the development of environmentally friendly products that guarantee a more sustainable exploitation of resources in the tuna, fishing and marine sectors.
